Contrary to what its name suggests, Video to Picture Image Converter can help you convert your videos into an extensive array of output formats.
The program has an unattractive interface. However, it is fair to recognize that it facilitates the conversion workflow, so it should be very easy for you to convert any media file, if you just follow the order suggested by the buttons on the left. This way, you will soon notice that this program supports batch conversion and that new tasks can be created from various sources. In addition to standard files and complete folders, the tool lets you import contents from DVD discs or folders, which means that it can be used as a ripper. Not much can be done to the added items because you will not find such authoring functions as trimming, cropping and watermarking, which are becoming increasingly frequent in software of this type. Previewing the videos is available via right click, but the program will use your default player for this purpose.
There is a long list of formats to choose from, but the program does not make the selection easier for beginners. Instead of using some type of classification, all the formats are simply listed one after the other and the only attempt to class them is by using different font colors. This list includes video, audio and picture formats as well as a short list of supporting devices. Perhaps the main advantage that this program has to offer lies here: it allows you to convert a clip into a sequence of static image files.
In general, Video to Picture Image Converter cannot compete with most video converters available nowadays. It has an excessive price for a program offering fewer features than many free applications. The only purpose that could justify its use is to extract image sequences from video, but that is not exclusive of this tool.
